ENWS Strengthens Member Organizations with Comprehensive Grant Proposal Writing Training

Addis Ababa, November 20, 2025 — The Ethiopian Network of Women’s Shelters (ENWS) held an impactful grant proposal writing training today, bringing together its member organizations and partner institutions to enhance skills in developing strong, donor-ready proposals.

The full-day training provided participants with hands-on guidance on all critical aspects of proposal development, including problem identification, project design, budgeting, logical frameworks, and effective communication with donors. By combining theory with practical exercises, participants gained tools to create proposals that are not only technically sound but also compelling to funders.

Representatives from a diverse range of shelters and partner organizations actively engaged in discussions and collaborative exercises, sharing their experiences, challenges, and best practices. This interaction fostered stronger connections among ENWS members and reinforced the network’s commitment to collective growth and learning.

The training is part of ENWS’s broader strategy to build the capacity of its member organizations, ensuring they are well-equipped to secure funding and sustain programs that provide critical services for women, children, and survivors of gender-based violence across Ethiopia.

Through initiatives like this, ENWS continues to support its members in maximizing impact, strengthening organizational systems, and promoting gender equality, while fostering partnerships that drive meaningful change in communities.
