What We Do – Our Work

Through our nationwide network of shelter organizations and community partners, ENWS delivers a full spectrum of survivor-centered services. We coordinate life-saving support, empower women and girls to rebuild their lives, and strengthen systems to ensure every survivor has access to safety, justice, and opportunity.

Referral and Coordination Systems

ENWS builds and maintains a strong referral network, enabling survivors to access timely services across sectors including health, justice, police, and social support.

Advocacy and Policy Engagement

We advocate for the enforcement and reform of GBV-related laws and policies. ENWS engages national and regional governments, donors, and private sector actors to prioritize the rights and needs of survivors.

🌍

Community Awareness and Prevention

We run public campaigns (including 16 Days of Activism) and grassroots engagement to change harmful social norms, increase awareness, and prevent GBV. We work closely with men, boys, elders, and religious leaders to build a culture of non-violence and respect.

Humanitarian Response for Displaced Women and Girls

In times of conflict or crisis, such as in northern Ethiopia, ENWS supports displaced women and girls with emergency humanitarian assistance, psychosocial support, health services, and protection.
